Summery

Cadence feels she is in danger from a man she knew all though school. In her 30's now she feels the need to flee her home to be safe, but she has no idea where she is driving to. Of course it has to be the worst snow storm and her car breaks down. She gets help from a passerby, Mick. She is reluctant to accept his help but feels she has no choice due to the conditions outside. Here she is stranded with this handsome man for days. In his cabin they have nothing to do but talk due to the snow store. During the time together they become very close. She tells him how she feels a man from high school Dirk, is after her because she knows he killed her friend. Yet she can't prove it.

Cadence and Mick travel back to Indiana where she lives. In attempt to try and track down Dirk. The hunt for a killer is on but who will be next? Will they prevail in the end? Will this be too much for Mick to take on?

Review

There is something to be said for reading a book with no prior knowledge of the Author or of the book. You can read it and have an unbiases opinion for it. This is my first book by Kate Watterson.

With that being said I did really enjoy the beginning. When Cadence was snowed in with the hunk Mick in his cabin. You wanted to see them get closer and fall in love. That's what books are made for. But once they left the cabin to face off with Dirk, the mass murder it fell apart for me. There were times when I couldn't follow along, I had no clue who was talking and had to go back and reread it to figure it out.

Mick was the knight in shinning armor and Cadence was a very independent woman who at times didn't want the knight. They are a cute couple and you do start to get attached to them. Once the book starts to pick up and Dirk is after Cadence so his secrets stay hidden you get reinvested in all charters. He is hell bent on stopping Cadence, the FBI and Mick from getting in his way.

If your looking for a thriller you will find it here. It has many good qualities, I just felt that the whole story could have been a little stronger.

Thank You #NettGalley and #KateWatterson #Blindsided

Review:

This is my first time reading a book by Sue Watson. I also didn't read any reviews prior to reading the book so I was very unsure what to expect. All Her Secrets was a page turner for me. I enjoyed the book from beginning to end.

I thought the suspense and mystery in this book was extremely good. However a bit predictable. I had the "who done it" figured out in the first few chapters. That didn't stop me from loving the book. At that point I had to see if I was right.

I will admit Lucy's character was a bit frustrating. She had this need to please everyone, especially Amber, even if it was something she was not too keen on.

Overall it was an enjoyable read with a twist at the end that I did not see coming. I definitely recommend reading this book! I will also be looking for more novels by Sue Watson.
